The traditional method for making butter is by churning milk. Pour the milk into a tall container and beat it with a wooden stick.
The fat is in milk in the form of very small fat globules dispersed. With the beating, the fat globules join together in a larger size and rise to the surface. We remove what floats and put them in a container and continue beating and removing each time, until we find that nothing rises to the surface anymore. This process for 5 kg of milk will exceed 2 hours and the temperature in the workplace should not be above 18 degrees.
